History

In 2006, Project Freedom at Trent Center and BTC Management entered into a limited partnership agreement to build an accessible apartment community in the heart of Trenton. In 2007, after obtaining funding through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, ground was broken to build a five-story apartment building on the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Chestnut Street in Trenton. After building completion, Project Freedom, Inc. dropped from the partnership and BTC Management and PNC Bank became partners. BTC Management has day-to-day operating responsibility.

The building was finished in November 2008 and includes 52 apartments, 9 two-bedroom apartments and 43 one-bedroom apartments. The first residents moved into the building in December 2008, many of whom still reside in the building.

BTC Management is governed by a Board of Directors, who have volunteered their time for the betterment of the community. The board members are tasked with fulfilling the mission of the organization.

As of 2015, the building employs two full-time office personnel, one full-time maintenance technician and 4 part-time security officers.
